Course Name: MBBS, Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery

Level: Undergraduate

Eligibility: After 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects

Duration: 5.5 Years with mandatory Internship

MBBS Eligibility

  • 10+2 with PCB passed with at least 50% marks.
  • Students must be from the age group 17-25 years.
  • For reserved students, the marks cutoff is 40%.

The variation in salary depends upon the field of medical science one chooses from. However, the average salary can be expected as:

  • Experience 0-6 Months: 3L to 8L p.a.
  • Experience 6-12 years: 8L to 12L p.a.
  • Experience 12-20 years: 12L to 18L p.a.

The change in the salary range will also depend upon the level of specialization one does.

  • Is Indian MBBS valid abroad?

Indian doctors need to get registered in the country of residence and may have to give entrance exams for the same. To obtain the license to work as a medical professional, some countries offer courses that the students can take after completing 2nd year of MBBS in India. Remember, any doctor can’t practice abroad till the time one is registered under their country’s laws and obtains a local license. For the same, every country has different basic guidelines.
