NIFT Entrance Exam: NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology. About more than 20,000 students appear for NIFT Entrance Exam each year to get admission into various courses offered by NIFT. It is one of the top institutions for fashion education in the country. NIFT Entrance Exam: Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for NIFT entrance exam differs from course this course in which a candidate wants to enrol. The details of eligibility are discussed below:-
- NIFT BDes (Bachelor of Design) – The candidate should have secured passing marks in class 12 from a recognized board. And should be below age 23 years, as on October 1st 2020, for getting admission in NIFT.
- NIFT BFTech (Bachelor of Fashion Technology) – The candidate should have secured passing marks in class 12 from a recognized board, wherein physics, mathematics and chemistry must be included in study.
- NIFT MDes (Master of Design) – The candidate should have completed graduation from a recognized university. There id no age limit.
- NIFT MFTech (Master of Fashion Technology) – The candidate must have completed graduation in n BFTech course for admission in MFTech course.
- NIFT MFM (Master of Fashion management)

This is followed by an entrance test namely – GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT (Creative Ability Test). Where CAT exam is for BDes and MDes course. While GAT is for all the above mentioned courses.
Further one has to undergo Situation test, Group discussion and Personal interview.

- CAT (Creative Ability Test) Pattern
This test is conducted to check creative and innovative skills, by testing the ability of candidates to use colours and illustrations. This test assess the intuitive skills, observation power and design skills of an individual candidate.
