JEE Advance 2025: Joint Entrance examination Advance which is also known as IIT JEE is an academic examination held every year. It is conducted by one of the seven IITs named IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee.

JEE Advance 2025: Eligibility

| Scores | Aspirants who are among 2,50,000 students are in B.E /B.tech Paper of JEE Main 2025. | |
| Age Limit | Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. | |
| Number of attempts | A maximum of two times in two consecutive years can be attempted | |
| Appearance in Class 12th Examination | The candidate should have appeared for the class 12th examination for the first time in 2024 or 2025 with a science background. | Candidate should have appeared for the class 12th examination for the first time in 2023 or earlier are not eligible. |
| Previous admission in IITs | Candidates are not admitted to IIT if they have not continued in the program or accepted a seat at an IIT by reporting online or by not joining the reporting center. Candidates who are to admission to IITs was canceled due to certain reason are not eligible. |
Steps to Register for JEE Advanced
- The first step is to login to the official website and fills in your details to register.
- The Second step is to upload the necessary document like a photo, birth certificate etc.
- The Third step is to make online payments through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking.
- Once the process is complete, students are advised to take a printout of the application for further use.

Key Points & Recent Changes
- Negative marking applies only in MCQ sections (Sections I & II) to discourage guessing
- This year, Paper 2 has fewer sections (3 instead of 4) and a greater emphasis on numerical-answer questions, making it more calculation-intensive .
- Mathematics was the toughest section in 2025, as reported by students and experts
- The total questions this year were lower than in the past decade, aligning with recent directions to reduce student burden .
