Space Technology course in India: It is a technology developed by space science or the aerospace industry for use in spaceflight, satellites, or space exploration. It includes space crafts, satellites, space stations and support infrastructure, equipment and procedures.

Space Technology is a field which deals with various space-based activities like entering space, maintaining and using systems during space flight and returning people and things from space. Aerospace Engineers are professionals who work independently or as part of a team. Space Technology Course in India: Eligibility

  • B.Tech in Space Technology:

It is a 4-year duration course. The interested candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics by a recognized educational board. The rules are relaxed for students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC categories. The criteria vary across different colleges and universities.

Students have to qualify the JEE Main to appear in the JEE Advanced to enrol in this course in the IITs.

  • M. Tech in Space Technology:

It is a 2-year duration course. The interested candidates should hold the Bachelor’s degree for the same or should currently be in the final semester of graduation.

Students have to qualify the Graduation Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) to take admission in this post-graduation Space Technology course in India.

  • PhD in Space Technology:

It is a 2-year duration course. Interested candidates should hold a Master’s Degree for the same to pursue a PhD in Space Technology course in India.

NOTE: Some of the private institutes like SRM University; BITS Ranchi etc. conducts their tests. Application forms of the most entrance exams are available in May and shall be submitted in June.
