SAT Exam 2023: SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test), earlier known as Scholastic Aptitude Test, administered by the College Board (an American not-for-profit organization) which is required for admission into most colleges of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. It is developed, published, and scored by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The SAT Exam 2023 is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test comprising reading, writing and language, mathematics, and an optional essay. It provides colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all the applicants.

SAT Exam 2023: Eligibility Criteria

  • No eligibility criteria.
  • Students who are 12 years or younger in age need to register by mail.
  • Students in Eighth (8th) grade or below must not include a photo in their registration.
  • Candidates need a debit/credit card with international currency support enabled.
  • A valid Indian passport.

SAT Exam 2023: Registration Process

There are two methods of registration for SAT exam, one is Online Registration, and other is Registration by Mail.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

  • Visit the College Board website.
  • Create your profile and submit all the required information (I.e. Personal information, High School information, and Contact information)
  • Select the exam you want to give and your preferred test center.
  • Upload a clear front-facing photograph.
  • Pay the required application fee.

REGISTRATION BY MAIL

  • Request SAT Student Registration Guide from a counselor or College Board.
  • Fill out the given application form.
  • Mail the form along with a check or money order for the application fee using the registration envelope to ‘College Board SAT Program, P.O. Box 7502 London, KY 40742-7502.’

SAT Exam 2023: Fee Structure

The SAT exam fee with the optional essay is $106, whereas, without the optional essay, it comes out to be $94

In Indian Rupees, the SAT exam 2023 fee will be around 6200-7000 INR.

SAT Exam 2023: Syllabus

SAT exam includes the syllabus which candidates have already studied in school. It is a 3-hour long test, which includes four components, namely a Reading test, Writing and Language test, and Mathematics test (one without a calculator and one with a calculator) when an essay is included, it is 3 hours 50 minutes long. (50 extra minutes for the essay, other things remaining the same)
