Paper Engineering Course: It is a branch of engineering where it converts raw material into paper products and co-products by using the combination of physical sciences, life sciences, and mathematics. This field circumscribes the design and analysis of a wide variety of biochemical, chemical, and thermal operations employed in the manufacturing of pulp and paper, and preparation of raw material from trees or other natural sources via a pulping process.
It is an industry-oriented course which gives students a close to industry exposure through mill training and industry visits. It allows the students to develop new ways of manufacturing paper products that may improve quality and efficiency.
Paper engineering is a component of Chemical Engineering and is closely related to forest management, product recycling, and mass production of paper and paper-based products.
