Optometry Course: Bachelor’s of Science in Optometry is a three year undergraduate degree course. Optometry course is designed to offer students with wide range of clinical knowledge and skills to examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases and disorders of visual sense. Our eyes are exposed to harmful UV radiation and pollution every day. They are prone to infections such as bacterial infection in cornea, irritation, corneal ulcers, red and watery eyes, dry eyes besides other diseases such as cataract, glaucoma etc. Ophthalmologists, optometrist and Opticians are the professionally qualified people to treat all vision related issues.

Optometry Course: Eligibility
- Candidate must have completed their class 12th board examination in science stream
- They must have scored minimum 60% aggregate in class 12th.
- Candidate must be minimum 17 years old.
ADMISSION PROCESS
Admissions in B.Sc. Optometry course are done mostly via entrance tests either by individual institutions or by state for multiple institutions.
The admission process is as follows:
- Step 1: Fill the registration form for entrance exam
- Step 2: collect admit card and give the entrance exam
- Step 3: cut off is released and students clearing that are eligible for counseling session.
- Step 4: the counseling session has two parts Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
- Step 5: seats are allotted to those students who clear the counseling session. Candidates need to submit their documents with the college pay the fees and secure their seats.

- AIIMS Entrance Test: it is conducted for admission in various medical courses along with B.Sc in Optometry for All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)
- JNU CEE: JNU Common Entrance Exam is conducted for admissions in Jawaharlal Nehru University
- DU BEE: Delhi University Biotechnology Entrance Examination for admission in various colleges of Delhi University.
- CMC Entrance Exam: it is conducted for admission in Christian Medical College.
- NEET-UG: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is conducted for admission in undergraduate in many colleges and universities in all over India.
- EYE CET: it is conducted for admission in Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University.
MERIT-BASED ADMISSION
- Step 1: candidate has to apply for admissions fulfilling the eligibility criteria
