The NIRF rankings for AIIMS Rishikesh increased significantly in 2023. In the NIRF 2022 medical college rankings, it was ranked 48th; however, in 2023, it was ranked 22nd.

The top medical school in Uttarakhand for MBBS students is the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh. According to the Education Ministry’s 2023 National Institutional Ranking Framework medical college rankings, it is ranked 22nd. 

The NIRF medical college rankings for 2023 show that AIIMS Rishikesh is now ranked higher. In the NIRF 2022 medical rankings, AIIMS Rishikesh was ranked 48th; however, in the NIRF 2023 medical rankings, it is ranked 22nd.

In the NIRF 2023, AIIMS Rishikesh secured the 86th position overall.

Academic programs provided at AIIMS Rishikesh include MBBS, diploma and PG diploma or certificate, MD/MS, PhD, MDS, DM, PDCC, fellowship, MPhil, certificate course, diploma, and other courses. In 2012, AIIMS Rishikesh was founded. Anaesthesiology, anatomy, biochemistry, burns and plastic surgery, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, emergency medicine, endocrinology, nuclear medicine, and orthopaedics are among its more than forty-five departments.
