MBA Preparation: MBA Entrance Exams
- CAT:- It stands for the Common Admission Test. It is the national level entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The scores are accepted by most MBA colleges. It is a computer-based selection test. The duration of CAT is 120 minutes. This test doesn’t include negative marking.
- MAT:- It refers to the Management Aptitude Test. This national level entrance examination is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). It is conducted fourfold a year. The time duration of MAT is 150 minutes.
- CMAT:- It refers to the Common Management Admission Test. It is a national level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is an online computer-based test. The duration of the CMAT is 180 minutes. Negative marking is included in this test.
- XAT:- It refers to the Xavier Aptitude Test. It is an MBA entrance examination conducted by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI). It is accepted by many MBA colleges. This test is conducted online. The duration of XAT is 180 minutes. There is no negative marking within the GK section.
- GMAT: The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a global, computer-based exam used for admission to MBA and other business programs. It tests verbal, quantitative, analytical writing, and reasoning skills, with scores ranging from 200 to 800.
