Management Aptitude Test Details: MAT is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-School) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT exam as a national level test in 2003. Any Business Schools (B-School) (national or international) can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.

Management Aptitude Test Details: Eligibility
Following are the important points to ensure your MAT exam eligibility:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree or,
- Completed professional degree, for example, CA/CS/ICWA or,
- Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree
- The percentage of the marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/ Institution.
- In the case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ Institution in accordance with the participating management institute’s eligibility criteria.
- Mere fulfilment of minimum MAT exam eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for shortlisting by the Management Institute in which the applicant applies for admission.
- The candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the MAT exam process.
- MAT 2021 eligibility does not impose any age bar to appear in the MAT exam.

MAT Exam Pattern
MAT exam pattern is given by AIMA and no changes are introduced for the 2021 session. Management Aptitude Test details for exam patterns are as follows:-
- MAT 2021 exam will be conducted in both online and offline mode.
- The total exam duration will be 150 minutes.
- MAT paper is divided into 5 sections.
- Total of 200 questions will be asked.
- Questions will be of objective type.
- 1 mark will be given for every correct answer.
- ¼ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

- Language Comprehension Section: Questions will be based on English Grammar, English Proficiency, Para Jumble, Fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension
- Data Analysis and Sufficiency Section: Data sufficiency, Charts, Graphs (line, area, column, bar, pie), Venn diagram etc.
- Mathematics Skills Section: Number system, Ratio and Proportion, Unitary method, Time and Distance, Profit and Loss, Interests, Mixtures and Allegations, Triangles, Circles, Mensuration, Permutations and Combinations, Sequence and Series, Heights and Distance, Linear programming, Coordinate Geometry etc.
- Intelligence and Critical reasoning section: Questions in this section will be based on the Fact inference, Judgement, Analogy, Statement argument, Passage conclusion etc.
- Indian and Global Environment Section: It involves Current affairs and General knowledge questions from various fields like Economics, National and International Affairs, finance etc.
