3893 schools were chosen for up-gradation under central project in Haryana

According to Sanjeev Kaushal, chief secretary of Haryana, Project Approval Board of the Indian government has chosen 3893 benchmark schools in the state based on their performance in seven areas to enhance the standard of instruction, facilities, and general wellbeing of children. The chief secretary stated that the schools were chosen based on their performance in seven domains as determined by the ministry while presiding over the fourth Executive Committee of Haryana Samagrh 

Siksha on Thursday in Chandigarh.

Following a selection procedure comprising School Level Selection Committees, District Level Verification Committees, and State Level Committees, 124 senior secondary schools were selected as PM SHRI schools in the first phase. A budget of Rs. 8526.76 lakh has been authorized for 124 PM SHRI schools in Haryana, according to him, and Model Sanskriti schools were not taken into consideration for the selection to assist these schools in transforming.

He urged the officers to teach students about cybercrimes and financial literacy, arming them with crucial life skills, and directed the officers to organize educational trips to renowned institutions such as ISRO, Science City, and other organizations to enrich their scientific knowledge on a national level. Interaction Sessions with Local Role Models for Classes 6th to 12th, he claimed, Have Been Initiated to Promote Girls’ Education. Under the Girls Empowerment program, funds totaling Rs. 84.92 lakh for 1,544 elementary schools and 

Rs.51.5 lakh for 1,030 secondary schools have been authorized.

According to the Cheif Secretary, the government’s allowances support these students in their academic endeavors. According to UDISE 2021-22 data, these are currently 21,111 divyang (differently abled) kids enrolled in 119 blocks throughout 22 districts of Haryana, including 15,683 pupils in pre-primary through 8th grade. And 5,428 in 9th through 12th grade.

For the benefit of the differently abled students, 373 special educators are employed- 141 for cpr-primary to 8th class and 232 for 9th to 12th class.
