The Indian Institute of Science has extended the last date for registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), 2024. This decision was taken by the IISc because of the large number of applications received for registration. Earlier, the last date for GATE 2024 registration was 29th September, 2023.

GATE is a national level entrance examination conducted in India to assess the understanding of the candidates in various subjects related to engineering and sciences. A GATE score is helpful for admission to many prestigious colleges/universities in India. Also, many job vacancies in this field prefer gate qualified candidates.

Interested candidates can register for the GATE exam, 2024 online till October 5 without a late fee. However, registration with a late fee will be open till October 13, 2023. As per the official notice, the GATE 2024 exam will be conducted on 3,4,10 and 11 February 2024. The window for modification in the application form will be provided from 7th to 11th November, 2023. GATE admit cards will be released for download on 3rd January 2024.

Interested candidates can easily apply online on the official website of GATE at https://gate2024.iisc.ac.in/. The Following is a step by step process to apply for GATE 2024 :-

Step 1:- Navigate to the official website of GATE at https://gate2024.iisc.ac.in/

Step 2:- Click on the application tab on the homepage.

Step 3:- Select “Apply Online” from the drop down list.

Step 4:- Click on “Register Here”

Step 5:- Fill in the details and click confirm to generate your login credentials.

Step 6:- Login with your credentials and fill the application form.

Step 7:- Make payment for application fees

Step 8:- Download the confirmation page and take the print out for future use.

The GATE scores obtained by the candidates remain valid for a period of 3 years from the date of declaration of results. Qualifying candidates can seek financial assistance in pursuing a Masters or Doctorate.
