The Indian Institute of Sciences has extended the last date to register for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), 2024 examination. GATE is one of the most widely accepted exam when it comes to Engineering college admissions or engineering related jobs. Many government recognized organizations prefer to hire GATE qualified students for job vacancies majorly in case of engineering. IISc, has extended the deadline for registration for GATE, 2024 to 12th October, 2023.

GATE, 2024 is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bengaluru. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a test that evaluates candidates’ comprehensive knowledge of a range of engineering and scientific undergraduate courses for entrance to master’s programs and employment by select public sector companies. On behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, the seven Indian Institutes of Technology at Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Roorkee, and Indian Institute of Science at Bengaluru jointly conduct the GATE Examination.

The deadline to register for GATE, 2024 without late fee penalty is 12th October, 2023. Whereas the last date to register with the late fee penalty is October 20, 2023.

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to register for the GATE examination, 2024:-

Step 1: Navigate to the official website of GATE at https://gate2024.iisc.ac.in/

Step 2: On the homepage, click on “Register Here” tab.

Step 3: Enter your personal details to get your login credentials.

Step 4: Once your login credentials are generated, log in using those.

Step 5: Fill the application form.

Step 6: Make payment for the application fee.

Step 7: Click on “Submit”. Download and print the confirmation page for future.
