The academic criterion of Electronics and Communication Engineering is divided into three courses/ programs as follows:

B.Tech / B.E. in ECE– Must have passed 10+2 (Class 12) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects – Minimum aggregate: usually 45%–50% (may vary by institute; some top institutes require higher) – Must qualify an entrance exam (JEE Main, state CET, or institute-specific exams like VITEEE, SRMJEEE, etc.)
M.Tech / M.E. in ECE– Must have a B.Tech/B.E. degree in ECE or related field from a recognized university – Minimum aggregate: typically 50%–60% in undergraduate program – Must qualify an entrance exam (usually GATE)

Admission Criteria: You can get admission in this course either through entrance examinations or merit basis.

For admissions into UG courses, you may appear for JEE Main Examination. It is a national level examination conducted for admissions into various UG engineering courses offered across the country. For admissions into PG courses, you can appear in GATE examination.
