CLAT Exam 2023: Common Law Admission Test, abbreviated as CLAT, is a centralized test conducted by a consortium of National Law Universities of India, which is taken after the 12th Standard for admission to integrated undergraduate programmes in Law and it is also taken after graduation for admission to postgraduate programmes like Master of Laws. 21 National Law Universities and 45 other educational institutes of India accept the scores of CLAT for admission in their Law programmes. The exam is conducted in rotation by the 21 NLUs. (The CLAT Exam 2021 will be conducted by the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi.)
CLAT Exam will be an offline, pen-paper-based test of 2 hours with objective-type questions, with almost 60,000 test-takers.
CLAT Exam 2023: Eligibility
Only Indian Nationals and NRIs are eligible to give the CLAT Exam. Moreover, for Undergraduate programmes, candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with at least 45% marks (40% in the case of SC/ST candidates). And for postgraduate programmes, candidates must have an L.L.B./ B.L. degree with at least 55% marks. (50% for SC/ST candidates)

The applications for CLAT Exam are going on right now, so here’s how to apply for it:-
- Go to the official website of CLAT.
- Get yourself registered on the portal by generating a provisional registration ID and password.
- Now, log in with that ID and password, enter all the required details, and all upload all the required documents and a scanned photograph too.
- Check all the details again for any mistakes or do-overs as you can’t change it once you’re done applying.
- Now, moving forward to the next step of the payment of fees. The fee needs to be paid online, through Debit/Credit cards, or by net banking.
