CLAT Exam 2021: Common Law Admission Test, abbreviated as CLAT, is a centralized test conducted by a consortium of National Law Universities of India, which is taken after the 12th Standard for admission to integrated undergraduate programmes in Law and it is also taken after graduation for admission to postgraduate programmes like Master of Laws. 21 National Law Universities and 45 other educational institutes of India accept the scores of CLAT for admission in their Law programmes. The exam is conducted in rotation by the 21 NLUs. (The CLAT Exam 2021 will be conducted by National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi.)

CLAT Exam will be an offline, pen-paper-based test of 2 hours with objective-type questions, with almost 60,000 test-takers.

Only Indian Nationals and NRIs are eligible to give the CLAT Exam. Moreover, for Undergraduate programmes, candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates). And for postgraduate programmes, candidates must have an L.L.B./ B.L. degree with at least 55% marks. (50% for SC/ST candidates)

The Admit card will be released in the third week of May, you can download it by logging in to the portal where you registered, and by clicking ‘Download Admit Card’.

There will be 5 sections, with 30 objective-type questions in each section, the exam will be of 2 hours, and there will be negative marking (25%).
