Border Security Force BSF Careers: Border Security Force, abbreviated as BSF, is one of the Central Armed Police Forces of India. It was formed at the time of 1965 war, on 1st December, 1965, with the main responsibility of protecting and ensuring security of the borders of India. It operates under the control of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). It had only 2 battalions at the time of formation, but not it has grown to 186 battalions, with more than 2,50,000 personnel, including various wings such as air wing, marine wing, etc.
