BA Folklore: Bachelor of Arts in Folklore is a three-year undergraduate degree course mainly for students from humanities field. This course is suitable for students who want to pursue tourism as their main goal and those who want to join NGO and be a part in helping different communities. This course aims at providing students with both oral and written knowledge along with an understanding of folklore literature. This course deals with the folk traditions of different communities. It includes folk dance, folk literature, folk music and various other cultural performances.

Scope of Bachelor of Arts in Folklore

After completion of their undergraduate degree, a candidate can go for a Master’s of Arts in Folklore or Post Graduate Diploma in Folklore. After completion of the course, a student becomes a folklorist. Folklorist organizes communities to identify and conserve their folklore and heritage. They also develop public policies which honour and respects cultural diversity.
