It is the sixth smallest country in Europe, with Catalan as the most commonly spoken language. Andorra does not come under the European Union but uses the Euro as the national currency.

Andorra is not a country you probably have heard about, it has never been active in any war, never has produced a great football team, never produced any sensational personality. In summary, Andorra has never done anything to put itself on the popular chart. School Education

  • In Andorra, by Law, it is compulsory to attend full-education schools for children between the age of 6 -16.
  • What elevates the level of Education and literacy is the fact that Education up to secondary level is free of cost and it is ensured by the government that it remains cost-free.
  • The School Education of Andorra is majorly divided into 3 categories, those with Andorran Language system, those with French language system and those with Spanish Language system.

University Education

  • The University of Andorra is the national public university and also is the only university in Andorra. It was established in 1997. The university provides degrees in nursing, computer science, business administration, and educational sciences, in surplus to higher professional education courses.
  • The University of Andorra holds a very small number of seats for aspiring students; therefore, it majorly holds students for long-distance education and long-distance programs.
  • As Andorra comes under the Principality of France and Spain, students are allowed to get virtual education from Universities based in Spain and France with little to no complications.

The small landmass of Andorra and an even smaller population prevents Andorran Government from setting up a full-fledged Educational System and Institution.

The Geographical Complexity of the country also adds to the problem of setting up a full-fledged Educational system.

Yet, Andorra proudly showcases its 100% adult literacy rate, which has not come just like that but because of proper intervention by the government in the Education System and by ensuring that not only everyone gets the facility of education but rather getting on the aggressive side that everyone has to get educated by making education as a compulsory duty of each citizen.
