To break an addiction, we first have to know ‘what is an addiction?‘
Is it a hobby, an interest or something else?
Google says, ‘An addiction is the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance or activity’.
The solution lies within the problem itself. To break an addiction or a habit you have to develop a new habit at the same time and at the same place.

Let’s take an example ..
There was a child whose father was addicted to rummy (cards game). Every evening, he leaves everything and goes to his friend’s place to play the game. And whenever he comes home after the game, he finds his son slept. After a year or two, he started feeling stressed. But, at the same time he couldn’t do anything as he got addicted to it. He therefore, got an idea to utilize the same time to play the same game with his child. He started teaching him and thus he started enjoying the time.
The game was not wrong, his addiction was.
